De Pere Baseball Community –
De Pere Baseball is looking for additional members to join the board. Our community program thrives based on the generous amount of time from our coaches, volunteers and board members. We are looking for a few talented and ambitious members to help us continue our success as a community program. The board positions require a fairly significant amount of time in organizing committees and meeting on a monthly basis to steer the program in the right direction. We are interested in someone who can form and lead our concession committee as well as general board members. If you are interested in being a board member, please respond to this email with your intentions of why you want to join the board and what you believe you can help us with. The following questions can help direct your response for consideration. After reviewing the email responses, we will be selecting a group of candidates to come in and meet the board to learn more about the opportunity and to share your background. If selected for this process, the in person meetings will take place on January 26.
We look forward to strengthening our board and program. Please submit your email responses to firstname.lastname@example.org by January 19.

On January 1, 2018 many organizations implemented a rule change to bats. Many organizations hosting teams 14 and under adopted a rule stating any bat used must posses a USA Baseball stamp on it. Bats that are USA Bats are big barrel, 2 5/8" bats, but are made of materials that create wood-like performance. It is important to note that these organizations also do not have a drop weight limit within their organizations. USSSA youth baseball is not implementing this rule change.
The current bats, which are marked with a 1.15BPF stamp, will no longer be legal for play in those leagues.
It is important to note that De Pere Baseball is NOT part of any of these leagues and is NOT subject to the rules as outlined above.
For the 2022 season, De Pere Baseball will allow its players to use USSSA 1.15BPF 2 1/4 barrel bat OR USA Bat 2 5/8 barrel bat during league play in the Little Sluggers, Pee Wee, American, and National leagues. This is the same rule we've used since 2018.
If your child is a tournament player, please recognize that you may go to tournaments that only permit USABat standards for a given tournament.
Bat rules for the Pony 13U and Babe Ruth 14U leagues are set by the Bay Area Baseball League.
