Several months ago, De Pere Baseball announced the launch of a two-phase capital campaign project. Phase one of the project consists of two brand new fields located at Scray Hill Park in Ledgeview.
Today, De Pere Baseball is excited to announce the name of the baseball complex will be known going forward as Mulva Family Fields!
Thanks to a generous donation from Jim and Miriam Mulva, we are on pace to break ground this fall and open our new fields for play in 2019!
Mr. Mulva is passionate about the game of baseball and played in our program several years ago. De Pere Baseball is incredibly thankful to the Mulva's for their support of our program and efforts to keep community baseball affordable and accessible to everyone in our community.
1. Does this mean we're done fundraising for the fields?
No, De Pere Baseball is still raising money to support Phase one of the project. Field naming rights (2), Dugout Sponsorships (4) and Scoreboard Sponsorships (2) are still available. Check out the flyer below for details on how you can help support this project and ensure we are ready to play on the new fields in 2019.
2. What about other opportunities to donate?
An email will be sent out within a week detailing a brick campaign for all of our De Pere Baseball families. Stay tuned!
3. What happened to Phase Two?
We've begun our fundraising efforts on the Indoor Facility. We will need to raise an additional $1M to make Phase Two a reality!
4. I have questions about this project. Who can I contact?
Please email Jonathan Webb at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will respond promptly

On January 1, 2018 many organizations will be implementing a rule change to the bats. Many organizations hosting teams 14 and under will adopt a rule stating any bat used must possess a USA Baseball stamp on it. Bats that are USABats are big barrel, 2 5/8" bats, but are made of materials that create wood-like performance. It is important to note that these organizations also do not have a drop weight limit within their organizations. USSSA youth baseball is not implementing this rule change.
The current bats, which are marked with a 1.15BPF stamp, will no longer be legal for play in those leagues.
It is important to note that De Pere Baseball is NOT part of any of these leagues and is NOT subject to the rules as outlined above.
For the 2018 season, De Pere Baseball will allow its players to use either 1.15BPF small barrel bats OR the new USABats during league play. This applies to Pee Wee, KD, Pony and 14U Babe Ruth.
If your child is a tournament player, please recognize that you may go to tournaments that only permit USABat standards for a given tournament.
