De Pere Baseball would like to extend congratulations to our 2023 scholarship award winners:
Caleb Krueger, De Pere High School

Congratulations and good luck with your future endeavors!

USA Baseball Stamp
Beginning with our 2022 Fall Ball season, De Pere Youth Baseball will now fully adopt the USA Baseball standard for bats used in our recreational leagues (Little Sluggers through National League; 4K through 6th grade). All bats used in these Leagues will need to bear the "USA Baseball" certification stamp to be legal for play. Please note that this rule change is for our recreational leagues only, and that no change is being made for our tournament teams who will still be allowed to use the bats in accordance with the rules for the tournaments they have entered. No change is being made at this time for our hosted tournaments either.
The USA Baseball bat standard was first created in 2018 to address safety concerns from the previous USSSA 1.15 BPF standard. The USA Bats are designed to be a safer alternative and were adopted by Little League and many other youth baseball organizations after a number of serious injuries had occurred. De Pere Youth Baseball adopted the USA Baseball bat standard beginning with the 2018 season, but had grandfathered in the previously Little League-approved USSSA bats that did not exceed a barrel diameter of 2 1/4" (such as the Easton Mako) with the intent of fully adopting the standard in the future which is what we are doing at this time.
Bat rules for the Pony 13U and Babe Ruth 14U leagues are set by the Bay Area Baseball League and are unaffected by this rule change.
