2020 Registration opens January 1st

Registration will open January 1st for the 2020 league season.  Be sure to register and be among the first to play baseball this spring at Mulva Family Fields!  The fields are slated to be complete in spring 2020 and we will begin playing games as soon as the sod takes hold in the outfield. We are starting to outline field schedules with the intent to maximize as many programs as possible to have the opportunity to play some of their baseball games on the new fields.  Final schedules won't be determined until spring 2020.

Tournament team tryouts

The tournament team tryout schedule has been completed. Tournament teams are selected teams that play weekend tournaments throughout the summer. Tournament team players MUST register and play in league play for De Pere Baseball. Your child should be registered for league play before the tryout dates noted below. There is no additional sign up required to attend tryouts. You simply show up 10-15 minutes prior to the tryout to sign in.

Here is the plan regarding teams in 2020. The number of tournaments INCLUDES playing in the home De Pere Tournament. The number of teams can fluctuate depending on the number of kids who try out and our ability to have coaches in place. As always, our #1 goal is to ensure as many kids that want to play tournament baseball can.

Bad Weather? Best way to find out if fall baseball is cancelled...

YOU MUST UPDATE this request EVERY season for it to be active, please follow the instructions below to receive text updates.

We have created another way to get updated on cancellations and changes - text message updates.  We will still e-mail cancellations and changes as well as post them on our Facebook page when possible.  However, we know that a lot of people do not check those often.  Text messages will allow you to get them as soon as we announce a cancellation or change.  In addition, there are times when it may be too late to e-mail or post on our page so text message updates would be solely used.

We are providing this to all leagues from pre-K through 6th grade.  Please make sure you are signing up for the correct program and, if appropriate, the correct night.  Text message rates and other charges may apply from your wireless provider.  Send a text to 81010 with the abbreviation listed for your program (be sure to include the "@" sign in your message).

2020 Bat Regulations

On January 1, 2018 many organizations implemented a rule change to bats. Many organizations hosting teams 14 and under adopted a rule stating any bat used must posses a USA Baseball stamp on it.  Bats that are USABats are big barrel, 2 5/8" bats, but are made of materials that create wood-like performance. It is important to note that these organizations also do not have a drop weight limit within their organizations. USSSA youth baseball is not implementing this rule change.

The current bats, which are marked with a 1.15BPF stamp, will no longer be legal for play in those leagues.

It is important to note that De Pere Baseball is NOT part of any of these leagues and is NOT subject to the rules as outlined above.

For the 2020 season, De Pere Baseball will allow its players to use either 1.15BPF small barrel bats OR the new USABats during league play. This applies to Pee Wee, KD, Pony and 14U Babe Ruth.

If your child is a tournament player, please recognize that you may go to tournaments that only permit USABat standards for a given tournament.
