  • Players must attend a tryout in order to be considered for a Tournament Team.
  • Tournament team players, families, and coaches must adhere to our Code of Conduct. All players, coaches and parents are expected to represent the city of De Pere and our program in a positive manner. Any incidents may be reviewed by De Pere Baseball and may result in the player being removed from the team.
  • Tournament team players must participate in De Pere Youth Baseball recreational leagues.
  • Tournament team players cannot be fully "rostered" players for any other travel team program.
    • Exceptions are made for ISA's 7U & 8U program as we have worked with them to minimize any season overlap.

Evaluation & Selection process

  • The varsity coaches will schedule and conduct the tryouts for their respective 13U and 14U age teams.

2024 De Pere Youth Baseball (DPYB) Fall Ball League Registration

Registration for the 2024 fall ball season will close July 31st. Grade level is the player's 2024-2025 grade level.

The registration links below will take you to the new Crossbar registration system and prompt you to create a new account (if you are not a current Crossbar member with another sports program).

Click here to register for our in-house rec league programs (Pre-K through 7th grade)

Click here to register to play for a De Pere/West De Pere team in the Bay Area League (8th - 12th grade)

Information on each of our available programs are below. Please note that De Pere Youth Baseball follows the Pitch Smart guidelines at the recommendation of USA Baseball.

Little Sluggers - This is a coach pitch league and is intended for kids in Pre-K and Kindergarten.  The goal of this league is to teach the basic concepts of hitting the ball, running the bases in proper order and fielding the ball to make the throw to 1st base.  There are two 5 week sessions of play in the Spring/Summer with all games played at Quarry Park. There is also a session offered during Fall Ball. During registration, you will have the option to select a league that plays on Monday & Wednesday nights, or a league that plays Tuesday & Thursday nights.

  • 2024 Fall Ball practices begin the week of August 26th.  5 week game schedule begins the week of September 2nd.

Pee Wee - There is 1 league ("Minors") offered for Fall Ball. Games may be played at Quarry Park and Ledgeview Park. During registration, you will have the option to select a league that plays on Monday & Wednesday nights, or a league that plays Tuesday & Thursday nights.

Minors - This league is for kids in Kindergarten, 1st or 2nd grade. There are no strikeouts. The ball is placed on a tee if the player reaches 3 strikes. No score is kept. This is a 7 week season that concludes around the same time that school is out for the year. This program is also offered in Fall Ball.

  • 2024 Fall Ball practices for Minors begins the week of August 19th. 5 week season begins the week of September 2nd.

American League (3rd & 4th grade) and National League (5th & 6th grade) - These are "kid pitch" leagues, where more advanced baseball skills are introduced and developed. Games may be played at Kelly Danen Park and Mulva Family Fields (Scray Hill). Fall Ball practices/games are held on M/W nights for American League and T/TH nights for National League.

  • Practices for Fall Ball begin the week of August 19th. 5 week season begins the week of September 2nd. American League Fall Ball is M/W; National League Fall Ball is T/TH.

Pony League - This league is for current 7th graders and serves as an intermediate step between youth and high school baseball. Base paths are increased to 80' in distance and the pitchers mound is 54' from home plate.  Home games are played at Southwest Park & Mulva Family Fields, and away games are played at various fields in the Green Bay area. Beginning in Fall 2023, De Pere Youth Baseball organizes it's own Fall Ball league with games played at Mulva Family Fields and Southwest Park.

  • Fall Ball schedule TBDD but it will be played on Sunday evenings to avoid conflicts with football.

Babe Ruth League - This league is for current 8th and 9th graders, played on high school (full-sized) fields.

  • There will be 2 levels for Fall Ball based on grade level competing in the Bay Area League
    • JV (8th & 9th grade)
    • Varsity (10th - 12th grade)

Please note these grade levels have options for which league they may sign up for Fall Ball:

Kindergarten - A true beginner should probably sign up for Little Sluggers. If you feel your kindergartener is more advanced and ready to try hitting off of the pitching machine, they have the option of playing in the Pee Wee Minors league.

De Pere Youth Baseball will be moving to Crossbar!

De Pere Youth Baseball Families,

We hope this message finds you well and you are enjoying a fantastic season. We are writing to inform you of an important change regarding our league's online platform. To enhance your experience and streamline our operations, De Pere Youth Baseball will be transitioning from SportsEngine to Crossbar.

Why the Change?

Crossbar offers several benefits that will improve the way we manage our leagues/teams and how you interact with us, including:

  • User-Friendly Interface: Easier navigation for both desktop and mobile users.
  • Enhanced Communication: Improved tools for team communications, schedules, and updates.
    • All teams/programs are connected to your Crossbar Family Calendar.  Once subscribed to your mobile device’s calendar, each new team/season will automatically synch. No need to subscribe individually for each team/season.
  • Streamlined Registration: Simplified registration process with secure payment options.
  • Cost savings for our program as well as our families: Crossbar charges a lower service fee (which is included in the overall program cost when registering). Additionally, the credit card processing fee of 2% is transparent and can be avoided if you elect to pay using your checking account (e-check) information resulting in lower fees for our families who would like to use that option.
  • Comprehensive Management: Better tools for managing team rosters, game schedules, and league events for our coaches and system administrators.

What Might Take Some Getting Used to:

  • While the registrations process is much more streamlined and faster to complete, there are a few things that will work differently than what we’re used to with SportsEngine:
    • If you have multiple children, each one needs to be registered in separate transactions. Keep in mind that this does not add any additional service fees.
    • League options in Crossbar are required to be set up by ranges in birthdates, rather than grades.  However, we are not changing how we create our leagues (still based on grade) so you will need to make sure you are selecting the correct league for your player’s grade.  We’ve made sure to add the grade level to each program’s name so it’s clear which one to register for.

What You Need to Do:

  • Create a Crossbar Account: When we send out the registration links for Fall Ball, this will prompt you to set up your new Crossbar account (if you are not already a user – De Pere Youth Football and Youth Hockey have also recently migrated to Crossbar). Creating your Crossbar account is very intuitive and easy.
  • Update Your Information and add participants an additional parents/guardians: Once your account is created, please ensure all your family and player information is up to date. You can send an email to invite additional parent/guardians.
  • Download the Crossbar App: For the best experience, we recommend downloading the Crossbar app from your device's app store. This will help you stay connected and receive real-time updates.

Key Dates to Remember:

  • Account Setup Begins when Fall Ball Registration is opened: Early July
  • Full Transition Completion with launch of the new website: Early August

We understand that transitioning to a new platform may come with questions and challenges. Our team is here to support you every step of the way. Thank you for your attention to this important update. We are excited about the improvements that Crossbar will bring to our league and believe it will greatly benefit all our players and families.  We appreciate your patience as we navigate using the registration and season management tools for the first time this fall.

Bad Weather? Best way to find out if baseball is cancelled...

YOU MUST UPDATE this request EVERY season for it to be active. Please follow the instructions below to receive text updates.

We have created another way to get updated on cancellations and changes - text message updates.  We will still e-mail cancellations and changes as well as post them on our Facebook page when possible.  However, we know that a lot of people do not check those often.  Text messages will allow you to get them as soon as we announce a cancellation or change.  In addition, there are times when it may be too late to e-mail or post on our page so text message updates would be solely used.

We are providing this to all leagues from K through 6th grade.  Please make sure you are signing up for the correct program and, if appropriate, the correct night.  Text message rates and other charges may apply from your wireless provider.  Send a text to 81010 with the abbreviation listed for your program (be sure to include the "@" sign in your message).

Current DPYB Bat Regulations (Rec leagues, 4K through 6th grade)

USA Baseball Stamp

Beginning with our 2022 Fall Ball season, De Pere Youth Baseball will now fully adopt the USA Baseball standard for bats used in our recreational leagues (Little Sluggers through National League; 4K through 6th grade).  All bats used in these Leagues will need to bear the "USA Baseball" certification stamp to be legal for play.  Please note that this rule change is for our recreational leagues only, and that no change is being made for our tournament teams who will still be allowed to use the bats in accordance with the rules for the tournaments they have entered. No change is being made at this time for our hosted tournaments either.

The USA Baseball bat standard was first created in 2018 to address safety concerns from the previous USSSA 1.15 BPF standard.  The USA Bats are designed to be a safer alternative and were adopted by Little League and many other youth baseball organizations after a number of serious injuries had occurred.  De Pere Youth Baseball adopted the USA Baseball bat standard beginning with the 2018 season, but had grandfathered in the previously Little League-approved USSSA bats that did not exceed a barrel diameter of 2 1/4" (such as the Easton Mako) with the intent of fully adopting the standard in the future which is what we are doing at this time.

Bat rules for the Pony 13U and Babe Ruth 14U leagues are set by the Bay Area Baseball League and are unaffected by this rule change.
